Your 2-Minute Guide to Spain

Holidays in Spain offer plenty of options for all types of visitors. You could spend time at ‘Las Fallas Festival’ in Valencia or visit during Carnival time. During the colder winter months, why not come to ski in Spain? Plan a visit to explore the eco-tourism so prominent in the country. There is plenty to see and do throughout the region.

For those who wish to explore the history of the country, consider Spain’s World Heritage Sites. These include the Atapuerca archaeological site in the north-east, and the AlbaicĂn historic quarter of Granada.

MadridYou can also travel along one of the famed routes so many travelled in ancient times, including the Ruta de la Plata (‘Silver Route’), El Camino De Santiago and the Route of the Caliphate. For something less physical visit the country’s museums, including the Numantine Museum in Soria and the Andalusia Contemporary Art Centre in Seville.

Many who travel to Spain come to explore the expansive coastal region. The sun and surf are popular draws for holidaymakers. On the other hand, if you are looking for more adventure, try mountain climbing or golf on courses that overlook the sea. Numerous resorts and spas are also available, especially in the popular coastal towns. Enjoy the entertainment of the Mediterranean area with its popular nightlife. Sail along the coast or shop in the upscale boutiques of Barcelona.

Spain has something for every type of traveller. The only question is what will you explore first in this lush, historically rich culture and country.
